Heather and I had made arrangements for hers and Lukas' engagement session as I was making my way to her place all I could see was this gigantic wall of black and then a huge strike of lightening. I pulled over at the side of the road to give Heather a call "don't think this is going to happen today".
So we reschedualled. The day we had was a bit better it wasn't raining and there was no lighting so we went ahead with the shoot despite the grey gloomy weather and we had so much fun.
I really wish I could remember the name of this reception hall in Bayfield but I don't recall. I will tell you though, it's located just north of Bayfield on the West-side of hwy 21 just past the golf course.
I was asked to capture a few moments at a recent hometown (in Bayfield) reception after Chad and Brigitte tied the knot in her home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba a few weeks prior. Chad is the son of my father-in-law's, wife. Which technically would be my husbands "Step-brother?" but they really don't even know each other. So we'll just go with the first description.
Chad and Brigitte you do make a beautiful couple.
Here are some of my faves from the evening.
Sylvia is my cousin and I couldn't be any happier about this union. She and Aaron have been dating which seems like FOREVER. This past new years eve Aaron finally slipped a beautiful ring on Sylvia's finger. While enjoying a few barley and malt beverages no doubt.
I was given the opportunity to capture their engagement photos during a non-stop rain in up-town Waterloo a few weeks back. I honestly was holding the umbrella while I was shooting.
I was almost to the point after two wedding and a few rainded out shoots, where I was telling couples if you would like it to rain for your wedding or photoshoot please call me. However ever since I have said that I have had beautiful sun filled photo sessions.
The rain did make me work a little bit harder and we most definatley had a blast.
Here are some of my faves.
Mike and Christine were married in Owen Sound at the Lumley Bayshore on what started out as a very wet, windy and dark day, but ended sunny and bright. Plan A was to get married in the Gazebo on the water but the weather decided that inside would be a much better alternative. So Plan B it was.
Here are a few of my faves.
more to come...
A huge shout out to Tami E. for 2nd shooting with me.
