I really wish I could remember the name of this reception hall in Bayfield but I don't recall. I will tell you though, it's located just north of Bayfield on the West-side of hwy 21 just past the golf course.
I was asked to capture a few moments at a recent hometown (in Bayfield) reception after Chad and Brigitte tied the knot in her home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba a few weeks prior. Chad is the son of my father-in-law's, wife. Which technically would be my husbands "Step-brother?" but they really don't even know each other. So we'll just go with the first description.
Chad and Brigitte you do make a beautiful couple.
Here are some of my faves from the evening.

Mike and Christine were married in Owen Sound at the Lumley Bayshore on what started out as a very wet, windy and dark day, but ended sunny and bright. Plan A was to get married in the Gazebo on the water but the weather decided that inside would be a much better alternative. So Plan B it was.
Here are a few of my faves.
more to come...
A huge shout out to Tami E. for 2nd shooting with me.

Who knew that all of this hard work and persistance would actually pay off. I have 2 weddings booked this summer with lots of room for more. My goal this summer is to assist at as many weddings as my photog friends (Christy, Christine, Melissa, Christa, just to name a few) will allow me to hone my skills. Possibly land 1 or 2 more paid gigs/weddings. Then take a few workshops along the way.
Feast your eyes on my first ever cheque for MY business. Thanks to my perspective brides for having faith in me. I won't disappoint. So hold on its going to be a great ride!!!!

Well as the depths of winter are upon us I am getting gradually more and more anxious to get back to shooting. Until that time comes I have come accross this wedding I second shot with Christy back on a very cold day in October during Thanksgiving weekend at Walters Falls.

I had made a request just before I had left my house that the wind and rain stop between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30 and sure enough it did I couldn't believe my luck.
Jay and Roberta have been married 10yrs and thought this would be a great reason for a party and why not make it a vow renewal and tell all of there friends to get dressed up for a costume party what a great idea.
I was able to capture a few intimate moments of just Jay and Roberta and the kids before the ceremony. Here are some of my fav's.
I love this next photo, Roberta you were just stunning.

This couple got married in Kincardine in the backyard of the brides dad's house. They were a lot of fun.

The lovely couple. (My View)
I had the guys do the "Rock Star" pose. This just made my day.
The guys socks matched the girls toe nail polish.
Thanks Christy for another great day. You rock!

I have been assisting at a number of weddings this summer 2 so far with Christy of Christy & Co. This past weekend I assisted Chris of Click Photography here is just a snippet of what I captured.
I have known Christine for a really long time and I knew that she would be the "go to" person to learn this profession. Which is exactly what I did last November when she was offering an "Ask me anything" workshop I got into this class and really haven't looked back.
I have been learning lots this summer from these extremely talented ladies. Next item on my agenda is the editing portion of photography. As the summer winds down I will be taking another workshop with Christine and will be 2nd shooting/assisting at a few more weddings with Christy.
I am so humbled being able to gain this invaluable experience and education hands on for pay or not.
Just being able to watch these ladies at work has truly been an exhilarating experience for me.
I will post some pics of Christy at work after my wedding next weekend with her.
